1969 NBA champioship game

the 1969 NBA champioship game is known as the most painful championship game ever. It known as that because all the people watching already predicted that the lakers will win against the celtics. In the season the lakers had a high and amzing wins record, while the celtics continues it's losing streak but still the celtics was able to enter the playoffs and the champioship. At that time, everyone thought that the lakers is gonna win because they already have the 3 very good as in very good players in their team the highflier ELGIN BAYLOR, clutch player JERRY WEST, and the tallest player to play in the NBA that time and scored 100 pts. in one game WILT CHAMBERLAIN. The owner of the lakers Jack Kent Cooke already prepared the balloons and a band even if the championship games isn't finished yet. This things boiled the bloods of the celtics. Because they don't respect them though they receive 10 champioship rings ever since the celtics drafted BILL RUSSEL and RUSSEL played for 12 years so that is 10 championships out of 12 years. All of the main players there are already old and Bill Russel cannot even join the team practice because his knees are hurting too much, he can only join in games. That's why people predicted that they are going to lose in the championship. In the game seven of the 1969 championship, the celtics ended the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter leading. But when one player of the lakers accidentally hit the eyes of JOHN "HONDO" HAVLICEK one of the main players of the celtics at the 3rd quarter, Boston's lead started to dwindle and dwindle until lakers took the lead. In the fourth quarter JOHN HAVLICEK returned into action ,then again the celtics captured the lead again and ended the game with a 108-106 victory for their 11 championship ring.

the lakers' players ate their words because they said that:
Most of the years we played, they were better, but in '69 they were no better JERRY WEST said.

also these things were labeled by the people to the lakers after they lost the championship:
WEST, who names himself as the finals MVP, the only time honor has gone to the member of a losing team, was crushed by the defeat. So was Baylor, who called playing the celtics "THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE". The lakers was really the best that time.
